Invest in Employee Wellness

Many businesses and corporations are investing in wellness programs for the workplace to reduce workplace stress that could result in increased absenteeism, higher turnover, lower productivity, job-related accidents, workers compensation claims, health insurance premium and medical expenses.

Companies such as Apple Computer, Merrill Lynch, and PepsiCo have found that on-site massage is more than an office perk for people who work long hours under high-stress conditions. In today's world, that makes all of us likely candidates.

Easy to Implement

-

Simply make a phone call and we will personal answer      your questions, and develop a customized program based on your company's and your employees' needs. We will also develop a convenient billing procedure as well as schedule a workable time schedule for your employees.

-  You will need to assign a contact person to assist our therapist with setting up a schedule, publicize the program and manage the sign-up process.
-  A massage corner can be located in a conference room, break room, or any quiet space.
-  Encourage employees to utilize chair massage through       bulletin board and e-mail notification.

Job Stress

Most of us experience it.

Your job can make strenuous demands on your body.

Whether you do heavy labor (i.e. lifting, carpentry), simple repetitive motions (i.e. typing, answering phones), or experience on-the-job emotional stress, physical problems may develop.

Your job can strain your emotions, through corporate downsizing, working more with less, and keeping up with new technology.

Frequent or unrelenting stress can damage your body and lead to:

-  Repetitive use injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome or  tendonitis.
-  Headaches, backaches, neck & shoulder pain.
-  Depression, anxiety, poor concentration, anger, exhaustion.
-  High blood pressure, changes in blood sugar, ulcer, heart disease, colitis.

Why an On-Site Massage Program?

It's a must!
-  It is easy, fast, and effective. M.T. Wellness Clinic offers various affordable packages to suit your needs.
-  It requires no overhead to maintain, no capital investment, and no practice or effort to be effective.
-  It's convenient. Our therapist comes directly to you with a portable massage chair.
 -  Your seated massage takes place fully clothed. No tables, sheets, or oils needed.
 -  It usually includes head, neck, shoulders, back, arms, and hands. The average chair massage is 10-15 minutes - the same as a coffee break. It won't disrupt your workday.  Just relax and enjoy.
-  The results are immediate relief of stress.
-  Our therapist's touch can invigorate your staff, release tension in their muscles, stimulate their circulation, enhance their ability to think and concentrate, help them feel alert and refreshed.
-  The effects are cumulative; consistent use reinforces the physical and emotional benefits. Two massages a month cost much less per employee than most other health programs.

Massage Therapy Benefits

It is estimated that $150 billion is lost each year due to absenteeism.

Chronic pain, hypertension, and headaches are responsible for over 50% of absences. 60-90% of all visits to healthcare professionals are stress-related. If employees have headaches, pains, soreness, stiffness, or poor circulation resulting from sport injuries, accidents, health problems, or repetitive actions on the job, they may be restricted from leading the life they want.

According to a 1996 survey of employees who regularly receive therapeutic massage on-site at a major corporation:

-  98% said it helped them reduce work-related stress
-  92% said it increased alertness, motivation, and productivity
-  83% said it addressed a problem so medical attention was not necessary
-  66% said it had enabled them to stay at work when they otherwise would have gone home sick
